Blessed boxes of clothes

Some of you, my good friends, have sent boxes of clothes from America for us to distribute to those in Guyana. You know who you are. Those clothes have blessed the lives of so many and we have loved giving them out. All have been so appreciative.

Natasha is a single mom of these three children and lives across the street from us. All four are wearing shirts sent by you, our precious friends in America.

Just take a look below and you'll see more of how the clothes you sent look on those who received them and how big the smiles were of all the recipients.

While you're looking the photos over, check to see if you can identify something that was contributed by you.

Aliena (10) is the younger sister in this family and she loves her new flowered dress. The tan jacket that her older sister, Alisha (14), is wearing was also given to Aliena but when she brought it home her older sister snagged it from her!

Don't Aliena's fancy shoes just complete her outfit!? Can you tell she's proud of her new dress?

Here is their mommy, Nanda, wearing her new striped shirt. The flowers I am holding and the jewelry I am wearing she has just brought me for my birthday. She is one of my dearest friends in Guyana. Nanda and her whole family were given several items each. She wants to dress each member of her family in something they have been given so I can take a family photo to send to you along with a big thank you note for what she has received.

I never realized Sister Bennie was so much shorter than her daughter before I took this photo of them standing on my bed modeling their new jeans. They look like they just fit.

Samantha just had a stillborn baby so was thrilled to have these new clothes... the light blue sweater and white pants.

Wow, what is that? It's Natasha and her girls modeling some of the 10 bras that were in those boxes. They are wearing them over the new shirts they were given. There were a total of five sisters who each were given two bras. You can bet they each thought they were mighty lucky! One of them told me her new bra had made her look like a young girl again!

Odessa is 15 and joined the church a few months ago. She is in my bedroom modeling some of her new things in this photo and the next 2. Check out that grin!

She has worn this blouse several times since I gave it to her. The little one with her in the photo, Tianna, locked us out of our only bathroom while Odessa was trying on these clothes. We had quite an adventure getting back into the backroom. We had to have the doorknob ripped out to do so. Do you see a sign of mischief in her face?

Odessa thinks she looks pretty cute in this new outfit! We think so, too!

Here is Roopa, on the right, wearing her new green skirt and white blouse. Roopa will receive her mission call this week. We can't wait to know where she is going. This outfit will be great for her mission.

Cavita is the tiniest thing I know and this purple dress fit her perfectly. Can you tell she likes it?

Amelia likes to pose. Can you tell?

Here she is again, in another of her new shirts. The pants and hat are new, too... all from the boxes!

Jade is expecting her 2nd baby in January. She had nothing to wear. She found several things that she loves to wear. This long red top was one of them. Is she 'beginning to look a lot like Christmas'?

And here is Jade's husband, Travis. He has found 3 pair of shoes that just fit him. We received a couple of big boxes of shoes, mostly sandals. We found happy homes for all of them.

All of these people and more were given more than what you see. This is just a sampling. We thank you, thank you, for all that you have sent.
