Crazy Robin

I'm feeling ready to just do something a little crazy after being serious for a whole week in the MTC, teaching missionary lessons to volunteers from Provo with Elder Bullock every day so I just looked for a couple of silly photos of us and that will be the extent of my kicking up my heels!

We had a great week in the MTC. We loved every minute of it. The church is so true and we love being missionaries. We were so excited
when we were able to put our "Elder Bullock" and "Sister Bullock" badges on. Great young returned missionaries taught all the classes and they were incredible. The mission field hones our youth into becoming the best there is.

Elder Bullock had a sweet experience in the phone center at the MTC when a Baptist grandma from Texas called in to request the video "Lamb of God" to be sent to her. She wants to know more about the church because of the good example of one of her granddaughters. This girl joined the church, married in the temple to a young man that the grandma adores. Now, she is her favorite grandchild because of the way she lives her life. Grandma is a little frustrated because her granddaughter won't tell her about the church. She plans to show the video to the rest of her grandkids. Elder Bullock talked with this Baptist grandma for 35 minutes and taught her everything about the gospel we had practiced in our classes all week. He finally had to finish the conversation but not before he bore his testimony to her and committed her to read the Book of Mormon. He's my hero and I'm lucky to have him as my missionary companion for the next 23 months.

Elder Bullock is just a little out of character in this photo taken last Christmas with some of his grandkids!

We leave at 4 am Monday, February 25, for Guyana, South America. It will take us 24 hours to arrive in Guyana, seeing that we have 9 hours of layovers in Atlanta and New York. Whew, I think we will be a bit tired when we arrive.

Tomorrow we begin taking the first of 712 doxycycline pills we'll take daily with dinner so a nasty little mosquito won't bite us and share its malaria with us.

We are ready for a real adventure. Does anyone want to visit? Bring along your mosquito net to sleep in!

We'll be thinking about you sleeping in your comfy beds at night! Love, the Bullocks
